STL is the student-initiated ministry that provides “essential transportation and creative communication” equipment to missionaries across the nation and in over 180 countries around the world. Since it’s inception 65 years ago, STL has raised over $245 million for missionary equipment around the world. In 2009, Montana youth gave just over $73,000. Our goal for 2009 is $250,000! Why such a large leap? Imagine what could happen if each church realized their potential in missions giving?! How can this happen? The Power of 10. We would be amazed. Speed the Light helps missionaries and missions work across Montana, the nation and the world by providing them with their essential transportation and creative communication equipment. STL funds can also be approved to help new church plants, Teen Challenge centers and The Seven Project.

· Nationally-appointed world and home missions work · New church evangelism (stateside) · Home and world missions Bible schools · Teen Challenge center · The Seven Project equipment Speed the Light has one guiding principle: all assistance must go to purchase equipment directly related to evangelism, which is defined as “proclaiming the gospel and instructing new Christians. STL equipment is not given for promotion, solicitation or normal administrative functions. The Function STL helps youth and youth ministries by cultivating a Christian worldview and a heart for the lost. The ultimate mission of STL is souls being saved and lives being changed. STL is one of the best discipleship tools we have to mentor our students in having a heart for the lost. The Mission STL expedites the gospel being preached and people reached with the hope of Christ. Today, STL is one of the most effective youth ministries in the church world. It’s purpose is to speed the spread of the gospel by providing transportation an communications equipment to missionaries, both at home and abroad. The Method STL is a student-initiated ministry which is facilitated through the local church. It works because Assemblies of God youth across Montana and the United States are interested in seeing it work. Their sacrificial offerings – given monthly, quarterly, annually and often spontaneously – are transformed into vehicles and equipment to assist missionaries in reaching the lost.
